Our Lowline Bulls
Wanamara has always used champion sires with structural correctness, good muscling & most importantly, good temperament. Our bulls are larger framed Lowline bulls with adult weights of 600 - 700 kg because we are producing bulls for the commercial market. Commercial & dairy farmers need bulls with plenty of height, stretch & weight to serve larger framed cows, without breaking down. Our bulls are bred for this purpose, not just for the show ring.
We have used sires naturally & specially selected AI sires to suit our breeding programs. These include

2018 Royal Melbourne Show was the show debut of Wanamara Dynamite, son of Wanamara Phoenix & Wanamara Firecracker, who both had successful show carreers.

Wanamara Cavalier WAN L042
At 15 months old, Cavalier entered his first show at the 2016 Royal Adelaide Show, where he won Junior & Grand Champion Bull & Supreme Lowline Exhibit. He is the latest of the Wanamara bulls to be a broad ribbon winner at multiple Royal Shows.
A few weeks later Cavalier went to the 2016 Royal Melbourne Show where he was sashed Junior Champion Lowline Bull.

Born to be a Champion
Born at the 2005 Royal Melbourne Show and at his first show, the 2006 Royal Melbourne Show, became Junior Champion Bull and Small Breeds Interbreed Junior Champion Bull. In 2007 Findon Royale became Junior & Grand Champion bull at the Royal Sydney Easter Show. He followed this feat at the 2007 Bendigo National Beef Show by winning Junior & Grand Champion Bull & Supreme Exhibit. Findon Royale's progeny are exceptional. His first daughter, Wanamara Royal Flush has been sold to the USA & is producing champions for her owner, Spring Creek Stud.. Undefeated in his Australian Show career, Findon Royale is now in the USA & is a much sought-after sire. We are still using him at Wanamara Farm as an AI sire & two of his progeny, Wanamara Royal Opal & Wanamara Legend won at the Lowline National Show at the 2012 Royal Canberra Show. Produces length, depth & thickness in his calves as seen in his sons, Findon Royale & Guinness. He has an impressive Genestar rating of 14 stars, with 3 Marbling, 6 Tenderness & 5 Feed Efficiency. Findon is the sire of our Junior Champion Bulls at the 2007 & 2008 Royal Sydney Shows & the Grand Champion Bull from 2007. His progeny have produced many show winners over the years. Findon is an ideal outcross bull as he has no TRA J222 (Admiral) in his pedigree. Findon always had high fertility & sired his last natural calf when he was nearly 11 yrs old. Trungley Corundum, was purchased from Trungley Stud at Bundanoon, NSW & is a son of Trungley Tiger's Eye, who's genetics have not been available in Victoria. Corundum gives his calves plenty of length, height & structural correctness. Corundum has a beautiful temperament which is passed on to his calves too. He has been producing plenty of very nice females for us.

Southern Cross Casanova was purchased with his dam, Goan Opal Star, from the Southern Cross dispersal sale in 2008.
